Listen-to-the-silence

Have you ever stopped and listened to the silence

It’s the most beautiful sound in the world.

And I heard it yesterday.

I went out early to be with nature.

No one was around.

The sun shone brightly, the trees were beginning to leaf. The birds and other wildlife sang along in celebration and happiness.

I stopped and listened.

The silence was the most deafening yet calming hypnotic sound I’d heard for a long time – I’d forgotten what that sound does for the soul.

I heard my thoughts; I saw my mind,  I felt my soul.

It allowed me to recalibrate and become alive.

You know when Sogyal Rinpoche said: “Our lives are lived in intense and anxious struggle, in a swirl of speed and aggression, in competing, grasping, possessing and achieving, forever burdening ourselves with extraneous activities and pre-occupation “ he knew of the importance of “Listening to the silence” as did Eckhart Tolle when he said:

“In today’s rush, we all think too much, seek too much, want too much and forget about the joy of just being.”

Never have these 2 quotes resonated with me as much as they did yesterday.

You see Zen Frog knows best and seems to have got it right.

It’s so important to indulge yourself and enjoy a little quite time every day.

It’s called survival, self care & self love.

Take a few moments out of your day, every day to

Stop and…

Listen to the Silence

You’ll be surprised at what you hear, what your Mind is telling you, and how refreshed you’ll feel afterwards.

Be kind to yourself.  Tell me how you felt when you listened to and heard the silence, I’d  love to know how you get on.
