Hampstead Hypnotherapy’s Insomnia Relief Programme is a therapeutic modality, that induces a state of focused attention, and an altered state of awareness using Clinical Hypnosis, NLP, EFT, Mindfulness, Bi-lateral Stimulation and Coaching. Contrary to popular belief, when you are in a state of hypnosis you remain fully aware and in control, dispelling the myth of mind control. Hypnotherapy is not brainwashing, nor can your therapist wave a magic wand and say “hey presto your cured”.

Hypnosis works provided it its within your core beliefs and principals.  In other words you must want to rid yourself of what it is you don’t want to have, feel, do, etc.

For insomnia, hypnosis works by addressing the root causes that contribute to sleep disturbances.

Sleep is not simply a period of rest; it is an active process during which the brain carries out important maintenance and repair functions.

How you sleep each night plays a vital role in how you perform in your daily life.

Adults need between 6 – 8 hours of solid sleep at night, according to the US Centers of Disease Control and Prevention.

Sleep debt and irregular sleep duration are linked to an increased risk of heart disease, dementia, obesity and mood disorders such as depression and anxiety.

Regarding dementia, I feel it’s important to stress insomnia may contribute to an increased risk of dementia, although the relationship is complex and researchers are still working to understand exactly how strong that connection is.

Several studies have found that people who experience chronic insomnia, poor sleep quality, frequent awakenings, or consistently short sleep duration appear to have a higher risk of cognitive decline and dementia later in life.

Insomnia is more than just a bout of occasional sleeplessness; it’s a chronic condition that can wreak havoc on both physical and mental well-being.

The causes of insomnia are diverse, ranging from stress and anxiety to lifestyle choices and medical conditions. Traditional treatments often involve medication, and lifestyle modifications. However, our Insomnia Relief Programme offers the most successful path forward to a peaceful night’s sleep.
